Ask five Dubai agencies what social media management costs and you will get five numbers between AED 1,500 and AED 15,000 — with no explanation of why they differ. The gap is real, but it is not arbitrary. It comes down to how much original content is being produced and by whom.
How much does social media management cost in Dubai?
Social media management in Dubai costs between AED 1,500 and AED 15,000 per month. Freelancers typically charge AED 2,000–6,000 for one or two platforms. Small agencies run AED 5,000–15,000. Regional and international agencies start around AED 40,000. Our own packages start at AED 1,500.
Ad spend is separate in all cases — or should be.
Market rates by provider type
| Provider | AED/month | Typically includes |
|---|---|---|
| Freelancer | 2,000 – 6,000 | 8–12 posts, basic captions, scheduling, some replies |
| Small agency | 5,000 – 15,000 | Strategy, content, 2–3 platforms, community mgmt, reporting |
| Regional / international | 40,000+ | Multi-market, heavy video production, enterprise scope |
| Widget System | 1,500 – 5,000 | Strategy, in-house content, posting, community mgmt, reporting |
We sit below the small-agency band deliberately. It is worth saying plainly rather than implying it.
What you get at each price point
Under AED 1,500/month
Usually scheduling only — someone posts content you supply. No filming, no strategy, often no replies to comments. Viable if you produce content yourself and need only distribution.
AED 1,500 – 3,000/month
The bracket most small Dubai businesses should be in. Strategy, a monthly calendar, original content, daily posting and community management on one or two platforms. Roughly 12 posts and 4–8 reels.
AED 3,000 – 6,000/month
More volume and more production — multiple shoot days, three platforms, stories, higher reel output, and usually paid campaign support alongside organic.
AED 6,000+/month
Heavy video production, multi-market or bilingual content, dedicated account team. Appropriate when social is a primary revenue channel rather than a support one.
The line item that changes everything
The single biggest driver of cost is who creates the content. An agency scheduling your photos does a fraction of the work of one filming, editing and captioning original video every month.
When comparing quotes, ask exactly two questions: how many original reels per month, and who films them. That resolves most of the price gap immediately.
Ad spend is not a management fee
Two agencies quote AED 6,000. One means AED 6,000 of work with ad spend on top. The other means AED 2,000 of work and AED 4,000 passed to Meta. Those are entirely different deals, and blending them is usually deliberate.
Ask every agency to split the two before comparing anything. We cover the full picture in what digital marketing costs in Dubai.
What should be included at any price
- Content calendar agreed in advance, not improvised weekly
- Community management — replies to comments and DMs within hours
- Monthly reporting on reach, saves and enquiries, not just follower count
- You own the accounts and all content produced
- Ad spend quoted separately and paid directly to the platform
If any of those are missing from a proposal, ask why before you ask about price.
What does it cost per month for one platform versus several?
Most quotes in Dubai are priced per platform, and that single variable explains more of the price gap than anything else on this page. A monthly fee covering Instagram alone is not comparable to one covering Instagram, TikTok and LinkedIn, even when the post count looks similar.
The reason is production, not posting. Scheduling to three platforms takes minutes. Making content that suits three platforms takes three different edits — a vertical reel, a square carousel, a written post with a professional register — and each one is separate work.
| Scope | AED/month | What changes |
|---|---|---|
| One platform | 1,500 – 2,500 | Single format, one content style, one audience to write for |
| Two platforms | 2,500 – 4,000 | Usually Instagram plus TikTok — shared filming, separate edits |
| Three or more | 4,000 – 8,000 | Adds LinkedIn or X, which need written content rather than repurposed video |
| Arabic and English | +25 – 40% | Written in both, not translated — captions, replies and community management double |
The bilingual line is the one most quotes leave vague. Translated Arabic reads as translated, and in the UAE that costs engagement. Ask whether Arabic content is written or run through a tool, because the price difference between those two answers is large and the quality difference is larger.
What the monthly fee does not cover
Four costs sit outside almost every management retainer in Dubai. None of them are hidden exactly, but they are rarely itemised at quote stage, and they are where a monthly number stops matching the invoice.
- Ad spend. Covered in full below, and the single most common source of confusion.
- VAT at 5%. UAE agency fees are subject to VAT. A quote of AED 3,000 is AED 3,150 on the invoice. Some agencies quote inclusive, some exclusive, and the two are rarely labelled — ask which you are looking at.
- Production days. A retainer usually covers filming on a set schedule. A dedicated shoot — a studio, a food stylist, a model, a location permit — is quoted separately. If your business depends on a seasonal campaign, price that in from the start.
- Influencer and creator fees. Paid to the creator, not the agency. An agency may negotiate and coordinate, but the fee itself is a pass-through cost and should appear as one.
Paid tools are the exception worth checking either way. Scheduling and listening platforms are usually absorbed by the agency; occasionally they are billed on. It is a small number, but it tells you how the agency handles costs it could quietly pass along.
Where different businesses land in the band
The AED 1,500 – 15,000 range is wide because business type changes the workload more than company size does. A ten-person restaurant can need more content than a fifty-person consultancy.
| Business type | Typical position in the band | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Restaurant or café | Middle to upper | Food needs constant fresh video; the content ages in days, not months |
| Clinic or medical | Middle | Lower volume, but every post needs clinical review and careful claims language |
| E-commerce | Upper | Product launches, seasonal campaigns and a direct line between content and sales |
| Professional services | Lower to middle | LinkedIn-led, written rather than filmed, lower frequency, longer shelf life |
| Real estate | Middle to upper | Property video plus rapid turnaround on new listings |
If a quote does not change based on which of these you are, it was not built around your business. That is the practical use of this table — not to predict your number, but to notice when nobody asked.
Contracts, notice periods and what is normal in Dubai
Three months is the standard minimum commitment, and it is a reasonable one. The first month is setup and calibration, the second produces the first real data, and the third is the first month that reflects what the arrangement actually does. Judging results before that is measuring the setup.
Twelve-month lock-ins are also common, usually in exchange for a lower monthly rate. That trade can be fine — but the discount should be visible, and you should know what happens if the account manager who sold it to you leaves in month two.
What to check before signing:
- Notice period. Thirty days is normal. Ninety is not, on a monthly service.
- Who owns the content. Photography, video and graphics produced for you should be yours, delivered in source files on request. This is more often left unstated than refused.
- Who owns the accounts. Your business must hold admin on your own Meta Business Manager, TikTok and Google accounts. An agency can have access. It should never have ownership.
- What happens at the end. Handover of assets, scheduled content and access should be written down while everyone is still getting along.
We work on a three-month minimum with no long-term lock-in, and clients keep ownership of their accounts and content. That is not unusual, and it should not be — but it is worth asking every agency you speak to, because the answers vary more than you would expect.
Five questions that reveal whether a quote is honest
Price alone tells you very little. These five answers tell you most of what the number actually means.
1. Who makes the content, and where? A retainer built on stock footage and templates costs a fraction of one built on original filming, and it should be priced like it. Ask whether anyone visits your location, and how often.
2. Is ad spend separate, and who holds the account? The fee for managing advertising and the advertising itself are different things. Your spend should go to Meta, Google or TikTok from an account in your name, where you can see every figure.
3. What happens in month one? A specific answer — audit, strategy, content calendar, first shoot — means there is a process. A vague one usually means the work starts when you chase.
4. What do you report, and how often? Reach and impressions are activity. Leads, enquiries, bookings and revenue are results. An agency reporting only the first set is telling you something.
5. Who will I actually be dealing with? The person in the pitch is often not the person doing the work. Worth knowing in advance rather than in month two.
Any agency worth hiring will answer all five without hesitation. The hesitation is the information.
Is it worth it?
For a Dubai restaurant, one additional table a week from Instagram covers a AED 1,500 retainer several times over. For B2B with a long sales cycle, the return is slower and harder to attribute — which is a reason to set expectations properly rather than a reason to skip it.
The honest test: can you sustain four reels a week yourself, every week, through a busy month? If yes, do it in-house. Most owners cannot, and the account goes quiet — which costs more reach than never starting.

Frequently asked questions
How much does social media management cost in Dubai per month?
Between AED 1,500 and AED 15,000 depending on provider and content volume. Freelancers charge AED 2,000–6,000, small agencies AED 5,000–15,000. Our packages start at AED 1,500 per month, with ad spend always quoted separately.
Why do social media quotes vary so much?
The main driver is who creates the content. An agency scheduling photos you supply does a fraction of the work of one filming, editing and captioning original video monthly. Ask how many original reels are included and who films them.
Is ad spend included in social media management fees?
It should never be. Ad spend goes directly to Meta or TikTok; the management fee pays the people doing the work. Agencies that blend the two into one number make it impossible to judge what you are buying.
What is a realistic budget for a small Dubai business?
AED 1,500–3,000 per month covers strategy, a content calendar, original content, daily posting and community management on one or two platforms. That is the bracket most single-location businesses should start in.
Can I do social media myself instead?
Yes, if you can sustain four reels a week through a busy month, every month. Most owners cannot, and the account goes quiet — which costs more reach than never starting, because platforms reduce distribution for inactive accounts.
What should be included at any price?
An agreed content calendar, community management with replies within hours, monthly reporting on reach and enquiries rather than follower count, full ownership of your accounts and content, and ad spend quoted separately.
How many posts should be included per month?
At AED 1,500 expect around 12 posts and 4 reels on one platform. At AED 3,000, roughly 16 posts and 8 reels across two platforms with a monthly shoot. Volume matters less than consistency.
Do cheaper packages under AED 1,500 work?
They are usually scheduling only — you supply the content, they post it. That is viable if you are producing content yourself and only need distribution, but it is a different service from management.
How long before social media produces results?
Reach typically moves within four to six weeks of consistent posting. Enquiries follow once the account looks active and credible to someone checking you out. Anyone promising results in a fortnight is guessing.
