Ecommerce Web Design & Development in Dubai

Online stores built for the UAE — payment gateway, VAT, shipping zones and Arabic all handled before launch, not bolted on after.

A brochure website can be wrong and still survive. An online store that is wrong loses money on every visit — a checkout that fails on a phone, a VAT line that does not match the invoice, a delivery option your customer in Sharjah cannot pick.

This page covers what an ecommerce build costs in Dubai, what is included, which platform makes sense, and the UAE-specific parts that generic store builders skip.

What does an ecommerce website cost in Dubai?

An ecommerce store starts at AED 12,000 as a one-time project. That is a floor for a real scope, not a fixed price — your quote lands on or above it, never below, and we tell you which before you commit to anything.

What moves the number: how many products you sell, whether we write the product copy or you supply it, English only or English and Arabic, how many payment and delivery options you need, and whether the store connects to anything else — an accounting system, a POS, a warehouse. Add 5% VAT on top; the Federal Tax Authority applies it as a consumption tax at each stage of the supply chain. Our full breakdown of UAE website pricing is in what a website costs in Dubai, and every package is on the pricing page.

What every store includes

The e-commerce build starts from everything in a business website — custom design, copywriting, full on-page SEO and schema, blog, conversion tracking — and adds the parts that make it sell.

IncludedDetail
ProductsUp to 100 at launch, structured so adding more is a five-minute job
PaymentsUAE payment gateway integrated and tested end to end
ShippingZones and rates configured for the Emirates you deliver to
VATConfigured so prices, cart and invoice all agree
AccountsCustomer accounts and order management
RecoveryAbandoned cart recovery set up, not just available
SEOProduct page structure and schema, not only the homepage
TrainingTwo hours with your team so you are not dependent on us
RevisionsThree rounds before the design locks
DeliverySix to eight weeks from the day we have your content

That last line matters more than it looks. Product photos, descriptions and your delivery rates all sit on your side. Every build that has run long has run long for that reason rather than a technical one.

Shopify, WooCommerce or custom?

Most UAE businesses should be on Shopify or WooCommerce, and we will tell you which before you pay us anything. Custom is the right answer far less often than agencies selling custom will admit.

Shopify suits you if you want to open fast, sell a manageable catalogue, and never think about hosting or security patches again — the trade-off is a monthly platform fee and less freedom at checkout. WooCommerce suits you if you already have a WordPress site, want to own everything outright, or need the checkout to behave in a way Shopify will not allow — the trade-off is that maintenance becomes someone's job. Custom is worth it when your business logic genuinely does not fit a shopping cart: rental periods, quote-based pricing, complex B2B account pricing. If a platform can do what you need, paying for custom is paying for a problem you do not have.

Payments, VAT and delivery in the UAE

This is the part generic store templates get wrong, and the part that decides whether the store actually takes money. A UAE gateway application takes time you should plan for rather than discover.

We configure the gateway and test a live transaction before launch. We set VAT so the price a customer sees, the cart total and the tax invoice all agree — a store that disagrees with itself at checkout is a store people abandon. And we set shipping zones per Emirate, including cash on delivery if you want it, because a customer who cannot select the delivery option they expect does not email you to ask.

Will it work in Arabic?

Every layout we build is designed mobile-first and built to survive being mirrored into Arabic. In the UAE those are the same problem, because the version most of your customers see is a phone, in the language they actually read.

Arabic flips the page right to left, and a layout that was not built for it breaks in predictable places. Navigation and directional icons point the wrong way. Prices, numerals and Latin brand names stay left to right inside mirrored text, so they need handling separately — and on a product page, that is most of the page. Headings set in a Latin-only font fall back to something that looks nothing like your brand. We build both directions from the start, so adding Arabic later is a content job rather than a rebuild.

A store alone will not bring customers

A new ecommerce site launches with no traffic and no ranking history. Anyone who tells you otherwise is selling you the build and leaving before the quiet month.

Product page SEO is included in the build, and it is the right foundation — but foundations are not traffic. Plan for how people will find the store: paid ads while you have no rankings, SEO for the months after, or an existing audience you already own. We would rather say that before you spend AED 12,000 than after.

Live work you can check

Every project in our portfolio is live and open right now — not a mockup and not a screenshot. If an agency cannot give you URLs, that tells you something.

We are a team of eight in Al Garhoud, more than five years in Dubai, 50+ UAE clients, rated 5.0 across 11 Google reviews. If you need a brochure site rather than a store, that is web design and development and it starts at AED 3,500.

Frequently asked questions

How much does it cost to create an ecommerce website in the UAE?

An ecommerce store starts at AED 12,000 as a one-time project, plus 5% VAT. Platform fees and payment gateway transaction fees are separate and paid directly by you, not through us.

How long does an online store take to build?

Six to eight weeks from the day we have your content and product data.

Can the store sell in Arabic and English?

Yes. We build the layout to work in both directions from the start. Arabic product content can be added at launch or later without rebuilding the site.

What happens after launch?

You get two hours of training so your team can add products and process orders without us. Ongoing support and marketing are separate services with their own pricing, never bundled in silently.
